Introduction
The Old Fort is the only fully-restored historic plantation house in St. Vincent and The Grenadines, dating back to the 18th-century when the first French settlers came to the Caribbean. It is the largest rental property available in Bequia and meets the needs of a variety of visitors, ranging from two guests up to groups of eighteen. The main plantation house, which was rebuilt only 30 years ago, forms the heart of an undisturbed estate set in acres upon acres of lush tropical gardens. Extremely private, yet only minutes from the busier side of Bequia, we are proud to be able to offer hard-to-find classic ambiance in a beautiful natural setting.
Each room is uniquely decorated and has impressive 180 degree views Southward overlooking both the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean, including the other glimering islands making up the Grenadines. Not only can one see Bequia's close neighbour, the spoilt sister island of Mustique, where numerous celebrities own homes, but also distant Grenada which is over 50 miles away. The entire property, which was formerly a working sugar plantation and a lookout, is also ideal for any events such as weddings, family reunions, honeymoons and much much more. Seeing really is believing and our pictures, as good as they may be, do not justify the real feel and look of this amazing one-of-a-kind property!
