Beaches - Bequia may be a small island, but it spoils its visitors with many beautiful beaches to choose from. With so many water sports and activities available, you're bound to find one you'll enjoy!
Bequia Music Festival - This is a yearly event which happens the last weekend in January. Caribbean and international musicians join the stage for a 4-day event attracting thousands of foreign visitors to Bequia. 2011's feature artist will be Arturo Tappin. It will also include the Mustique Blues Band and a mix of local and regional bands Saturday and Sunday.
Bequia Easter Regatta - Regatta is a highlight of the year in Bequia, for locals and visitors alike. The annual event has welcomed visiting yachtsmen, sailors and holiday makers for over 25 years. During Easter, the island is practically bursting at the seams as it fills with yachting enthusiasts. Visit during this time and you are sure to see not only an abundance of waterfront activities, but also local traditions such as the building and racing of local fishing boats.
Carnival - Usually in late June and lasting until mid July, St Vincent's carnival features 12 days full of fun and excitement. Calypso and steel band music fill the streets and everywhere you turn you see brilliant costumes and dancing.
Windsurfing, Sailing,and Kayaking - Bequia offers several protected beaches perfect for beginners to learn the basics, as well as fun and challenging locations for those with experience.
Snorkeling and SCUBA Diving - With over 35 dive sites around the island, the diving on Bequia is some of the best in the Caribbean. Two fully certified PADI SCUBA shops operate on the island and can arrange dives for any skill level, from beginner to certified diver.
Sport Fishing - The fishing enthusiast can find many reasons to fall in love with Bequia. The surrounding waters offer trophy sized sport fish including Spanish Mackerel, Barracuda, Marlin, Tuna, Bonito and Kingfish.

Arts and Crafts - Visitors to the island will find a variety of local works in the boutiques of Port Elizabeth as well as at private artists' studios around the island. Locals create stunning articles, combining beauty and function, including model boats, scrimshaw, woodcarving, stained glass, ceramics, and crochet.
Spring Plantation - A romantic 200 year old working plantation overlooking Spring Bay. Throughout it's long history, the plantation served as a sugar factory, and its ruins now offers tours which can be arranged upon request.
Moon Hole - A fascinating marriage of style and environmentalism. Its unique architectural style is based on the concept of living in harmony with nature and taking full advantage of the Caribbean environment. The designer, Tom Johnston, envisioned houses that minimize impacts on the environment, but still offer breathtaking views and ocean breezes. The result is homes that looks artfully Flintstone-esque!
Mustique -Just an hour's sail from Bequia will take you to the home of celebrities and royalty. The island can be can be ideal for a day's visit by sail or power boat.
Tobago Cays - A world renowned small collection of coral islands with some of the most spectacular waters in the world. This protected natural reserve is home to some of the most amazing coral beds and aquatic life in the Caribben. Tobago Cays also provided the setting for some of the most memorable "Pirates of the Caribbean" scenes!
St. Vincent
Located just 9 miles north of Bequia, with regular ferries throughout the day, St Vincent is one of the most naturally spectacular and undeveloped of the large Caribbean islands.
Below are examples of full and half day trips that can be made to some of the natural wonders of this island.
Volcanic Activity - St. Vincent's La Sofriere rises majestically to over 4000 feet. It last erupted in April of 1979. A tour of La Soufriere volcano takes you along the picturesque windward coast of St. Vincent, through banana and coconut plantations to where the foot trail begins. Passable by children and amateurs as well as experienced mountaineers.
Mesopotamia Valley - A richly fertile valley thickly planted with local crops. A unique view of Vincentian culture and truly a sight to behold.
Vermont Nature Trails - A series of trails leading through tropical rain forest where visitors have a chance to see the rare and unique St. Vincent Parrot (Amazona Guildingii) and the Whistling Warber. The trails offer excellent bird watching as the habitat surrounding them houses several rare and spectacular species.
The Botanical Gardens - The gardens were first established in 1765 making them the oldest in the Western Hemisphere. The gardens feature a descendent of the original breadfruit tree brought to the island by Captain Bligh in 1793 and is home to an impressive collection of flowering plants, palms, cycads, and tropical trees.
Falls of Baleine - These spectacular waterfalls are located in the lush tropical rainforest at the northern tip of St. Vincent, and are accessible by both land and sea. Cool waters come cascading from the mountaintops to settle in a refreshing pool.
Dark View Falls (accessible by vehicle) - There are two trails to both the upper falls and the lower falls. The trail leading to the lower falls is relatively flat and easily accessible with a footbridge constructed of bamboo. The lower falls is a shower falls, very refreshing to sit under. The trail from the lower falls to the upper falls is 520 ft long with a little more hiking. This one has a larger pool for swimming.
